First PANATA Awards

Creativity has always been celebrated in the realm of advertising. Why not pay tribute as well to ads that not only exhibit artistry but also show heart?

The Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA) has taken the initiative to recognize outstanding marketing communication materials or campaigns that promote positive Filipino values through the PANATA Awards.

The PANATA Awards seek to champion traditional Filipino values exemplified in marketing or advertising communications such as love of family, respect for elders, prayerful, philanthropy or generosity, volunteerism, hardworking or industriousness, prudence, love of country or heroism, adaptability, flexibility or resilience, humility, obedience, loyalty, and reliability.

The awards have two categories: advertising (integrated campaign, single medium: TV, radio, print, ambient/OOH, direct mail, interactive/internet marketing) and marketing services (sales promotions, public relations/publicity/employee communications and special events).

The preliminary judging was done by the PANATA Committee composed of members of the PANA Board of Directors. Final screening was done by distinguished judges from different advertising agencies and media partners.

The following are the winners of the 2009 PANATA Awards.

The 2009 PANATA Awards winners were announced and awarded during the Induction Ceremonies of the 2010 PANA Board of Directors and PANA Foundation Board of Trustees at Mandarin Oriental Manila last January 28, 2010.

An Abueva-designed trophy was given to the Gold winner. A Recognition of Excellence trophy was also given to Tribal DDB as creator of the Gold winner.
